Goal Sport Tech celebrates 20 years of technology
This May 2026, Goal Sport Tech celebrates two decades of developing technology for sports arenas.
What started in 2006 as a hardware integration company gradually evolved into a software-driven ecosystem for live sports operations, shaped by years of on-site experience and development.
Beginning as HW integrators
Founded in Brno, Czech Republic, under the name Daite, the company originally focused on hardware integration for sports venues, delivering LED boards, media cubes, replay systems, scoreboards, and AV installations.
Working directly inside stadiums inspired the development of proprietary software solutions for centralized venue control.
Software Developing
Goal Sport Tech expanded into software development to better integrate and control stadium AV systems.
Goal developed timekeeping, replay, live production, and playout software, later evolving into integrated solutions for scoreboards, LED perimeter boards, venue control, and other stadium technologies.
The Video Officiating Era
As video officiating became standard in professional sports, Goal Sport Tech expanded into video review technologies for refereeing, coach’s challenges, medical analysis, and tactical review.
The company developed video judge systems for ice hockey in 2013 and later participated in early VAR implementation for football, achieving FIFA® Basic certification for VAR in 2021, followed by FIFA® certifications for VAR Light and VOL (Virtual Offside Lines).
Worldwide growth
Today, Goal Sport technologies are installed in more than 200 arenas across five continents, supporting multiple sports disciplines with solutions covering venue control, live production, and video officiating.
