Daktronics , of Brookings, South Dakota, was selected by Bowling Green State University (BGSU) to manufacture and install a new LED video display at Doyt Perry Stadium in Bowling Green, Ohio. The installation will be completed ahead of the fall 2026 sports season to deliver an elevated fan experience for football and other special events.

“This project is a testament to our mission to enhance our fan experience within our venues,” said BGSU Vice President of Athletics Strategy Derek van der Merwe. “We are looking forward to witnessing what the new technology will bring to our football game days and how the new video board will engage our fans in unique and exciting ways.”

Video Display Details

The south end zone video display will now measure roughly 31 feet high by 39 feet wide and will feature a 10-millimeter pixel spacing to deliver excellent image clarity and contrast to fans throughout the stadium’s seating bowl. It is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to show one large image or a combination of graphics, statistics, data and sponsorship messages.

Powering the display, Daktronics installed a custom control solution with Data Studio Football. This cloud-based, real-time data interface integrates with the control solution and third-party data sources to deliver relevant stats and information to create engaging and memorable game-day presentations.
