A major steelwork refurbishment is now underway at Ewood Park as Blackburn Rovers continues a multi-million-pound programme of investment in the stadium’s long-term future.

Following the installation of a new hybrid playing surface this summer, the extensive roof refurbishment marks the next phase of work to protect and enhance the home of Blackburn Rovers.

Together, the projects represent a substantial investment in Ewood Park’s infrastructure, ensuring the stadium provides the best possible environment for players, staff and supporters for years to come.

Over the coming months, principal contractor Mountain Earth will be carrying out work across three stands, refurbishing approximately 6,000m of steelwork that forms the structural framework of the stadium roof.

The works will continue throughout the 2026-27 season, with every phase of the project carefully planned around matchdays to ensure minimal disruption for the club and supporters.

Running alongside the installation of the brand new playing surface at Ewood Park, the roof refurbishment represents another substantial investment at the stadium ahead of the upcoming Championship campaign.
