Venezia FC Sign Concession Agreement For New Stadium

27th October 2026

Venezia FC and the City of Venice today signed the concession agreement for the management of the new Stadium to be built in Mestre, in the Tessera area, within the Bosco dello Sport project.

The 40-year concession provides for a total investment of €125 million by the Club, covering equipment and improvements to complete the facility, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, and the concession fee.

The stadium, which will open during the second half of the 2027/2028 season, will host up to 18,500 spectators for football matches, as well as concerts, festivals and other major cultural and entertainment events.

Francesca Bodie, President of Venezia FC, stated: “Today is a historic day for Venezia FC and our community. Bosco dello Sport will be our new home: an innovative, inclusive and sustainable Stadium built to the highest international standards, capable of unleashing the full energy and passion of the Club. A venue open all year round, aiming to become a benchmark in Italy for bringing together sport, culture and entertainment. We would like to thank the City of Venice for the ongoing dialogue and fruitful collaboration that made this milestone possible.”

Simone Venturini, Mayor of Venice, said: “My first thanks go to Luigi Brugnaro and to the women and men of the City of Venice, from senior managers to officials, who with expertise, determination and a great sense of responsibility have seen through a game whose outcome was anything but certain at the start. Today is a historic day for our entire city, even for those who aren’t football fans. After decades of debate and talk, the dream of a modern, functional stadium is finally something we can see and touch. This facility will be the home of Venezia FC, but also a driver of opportunity for the whole area. I would also like to thank the orange-black-and-green club for its trust and for the commitment it is making with this agreement: choosing to invest in such a long-term project shows real belief in the future of this city. This signing is not a handing over of the baton, but the beginning of a journey we will take together with the Club, knowing that this stadium will live on well beyond the ninety minutes of a match. I am certain that the Bosco dello Sport ecosystem, with its matches, concerts and major events, will give whole generations of Venetians experiences, emotions and memories for decades to come.”
