Grass Valley upgrade broadcast capabilities at CarMax Park

Since their debut season in 2010, the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have built a reputation as one of Minor League Baseball’s most recognizable brands.

The organisation has now installed five Grass Valley LDX 110 cameras at CarMax Park, a move that has noticeably improved the quality and consistency of its game broadcasts and livestreams while giving fans a more dynamic, engaging viewing experience.

The new production setup centres on five LDX 110 camera systems, one of which operates in a wireless configuration, providing the image quality, operational flexibility and broadcast-grade performance required for comprehensive live coverage across the venue. The upgrades emphasise the organisation’s ongoing commitment to improving its live game coverage while also expanding CarMax Park’s capacity to host live sports and event productions.
