Sunderland AFC will be investing in supporter safety and the matchday experience at the Stadium of Light this summer, with rail seating set to be introduced in selected areas ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The installation will take place in the Roker End and South West Corner, specifically within blocks U15, U16, U17, U18, U37, U38, U39 and U40.

The introduction of rail seating forms part of the Club’s continued commitment to ensuring safe standing areas are managed safely, responsibly and in line with the relevant guidance.

Those in wheelchair spaces on the lateral gangway will not be impacted by the implementation of the rail seating.
