Sydney Showground

26th January 2024

Australia’s Sydney Showground was established in 1998 as a purpose-built home for major events as part of the multi-million dollar development leading up to the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

The area has since evolved into a world-class facility, hosting nearly 150 national and international events annually. Among its diverse events are sporting events, music festivals, exhibitions, trade shows, and the iconic Sydney Royal Easter Show – the nation’s largest annual ticketed event.

Comprising various structures, including Giants Stadium, the Dome and Exhibition Complex, Charles Moses Stadium, Howie Complex, and the Sydney Royal Stables, Sydney Showground recently undertook a refurbishment of its AV system after 25 years of continuous operation.

To restore the system to its former glory, the venue turned to LEA Professional’s Connect Series amplifiers, with The P.A. People, a leading Australian integrator, enlisted to oversee the system overhaul.
