The American Express Stadium – known widely as the AMEX – is home to the Premier League’s Brighton & Hove Albion FC. The club, which has gained a reputation for its modern, forward-thinking approach, has, following a transformative system upgrade, taken a definitive step forward in sound technology, elevating the venue to the top tier of UK stadium acoustics.
Previously, the AMEX relied on an ageing public address and voice alarm system. While it met basic functional requirements, it was no longer in line with the club’s ambitions to deliver a premium entertainment experience. Among its shortcomings were lacklustre audio fidelity, uneven sound coverage caused by the stadium’s asymmetrical design, and outdated analogue infrastructure that offered little flexibility for future upgrades.
From Concept to Completion
To meet the club’s ambitious brief, Solotech was engaged to deliver a full design and integration of a new sound system. The solution was built around L-Acoustics’ world-renowned loudspeakers and processing technology, delivering unprecedented clarity, control, and resilience.
